Google Fiber Fee Schedule

The Google Fiber Fee Schedule describes certain fees associated with the Google Fiber Services that subscribers ("you") may purchase from Google Fiber Inc. Any purchase and use of the Google Fiber Services described below are governed by the Google Fiber Terms of Service. Any terms that are capitalized below but not defined in this document have the same meanings specified in the Google Fiber Terms of Service.

Equipment Replacement Fees

Your Google Fiber Service comes with certain equipment, including a wall-mounted Fiber Jack as well as some combination of devices that allow you access the Internet (e.g., a Network Box), save your TV shows if you have Google Fiber TV (e.g., a Network+ Box or a Storage Box), create your WiFi network (e.g., the Network Box or a Google WiFi device), operate your phone service if you have Fiber Phone (e.g., the Phone Box), or stream certain third-party provided content (e.g., the NVIDIAⓇ SHIELDTM TV streaming box). The specific equipment you receive will depend on your Service plan, will be disclosed to you during signup, and will also be shown in your Fiber account.

Regardless of your Service plan, you will be required to pay the applicable Replacement Fee if you lose or damage any of the equipment listed below.

Unless we notify you via e-mail:

  • If you cancel all of your Services, you must return all of the equipment provided to you (except the Fiber Jack and inside wiring) in working condition and with all accessories such as power cables and remote controls. Please do not remove the Fiber Jack or inside wiring.

  • You must return all the TV Boxes and Remote Controls if you cancel the TV Service.

  • You must return your Phone Box if you cancel the Fiber Phone Service.

  • If you do not return the applicable equipment in good working order within twenty-five (25) days after the applicable Service is terminated, you will be responsible for the applicable Replacement Fee(s) below.

*Depending on your Service plan and location, additional units may be available to rent and/or purchase, while supplies last. You may return any product you purchase within 30 days for a full refund in the form of a credit on your bill. To receive a refund, you must return the product in its original condition including the box it came in, along with its accessories, documentation, and anything else that came with the device (e.g., power cables, remote control, etc.). Service Deposits

We sometimes charge a deposit (usually $10) when you sign up for Services. We will only do so if we disclose the deposit to you when you sign up. If we do charge you a deposit, we will credit your deposit towards any fees (other than the deposit) billed in connection with the Services.

Service deposits are non-refundable except in the following circumstances:

  • Your address does not qualify for the Services.

  • Your address qualifies for the Services and we do not connect your address to the Google Fiber network.

  • You cancel your registration before installation.

Construction Fee

Depending on when you subscribed to Google Fiber, you may be responsible for a $300 construction fee. The fee, if applicable, would have been disclosed to you during your online sign-up process.

If you signed up for Fiber 100, Fiber 1000 or Fiber 1000 + TV and are subject to a construction fee (which would have been disclosed to you during sign-up), your construction fee will be waived if you purchased that Service for at least one year. If you cancel that Service or change your plan to Basic Internet (not available at all addresses) during the first year, you will be required to pay a portion of the $300 construction fee (pro-rated based on the number of months remaining in the first year of Service).

If you signed up for Basic Internet (not available at all addresses) and are responsible for a $300 construction fee, that fee is payable as a one-time $300 fee or you can pay in 12 monthly installments of $25. If you chose to pay in monthly installments and change your plan during your first year of service to Fiber 100, Fiber 1000 or Fiber 1000 + TV, any outstanding construction fee balance will be waived as long as you do not later downgrade to Basic Internet.

In certain circumstances, you may be subject to additional fees, which will be explained to you before you schedule your installation.
